Set List: Metropolis - Montreal, QC - December 10, 2008

WOW! That is about all you can say about this show tonight in Montreal. The Metropolis was busting at at the seams and Duran Duran was the reason why! This is probably one of my favorite shows of the tour. The room size was perfect, small and intimate. It was a nice change, we love a good packed gig! The band was really happy about the night as well. I believe that when John said ‘thank you it was f#*($@ amazing. A pleasure to spend the evening with you Montreal...’ at the end of the show, that pretty much summed it up. This was the perfect place to be on a night when there were two feet of snow and ice on the was ground outside. We were all packed cozily into the downstairs of the venue for the day, but it was fine, it was refuge from the cold! The band shared their space with all of their crew and the members of the Fan Community that got to come down and say hello for their meet and greet.

The venue, while a weeeee challenging for our amazing crew logistically (the snow etc didn’t help much, but as always, they did an amazing job), was one of the cooler rooms we have played all tour. It just has that rock show vibe about it. Such a cool space. There was a really interesting sculpture in the main hall that I have a photo of for you. I found out that when the venue was refurbished, part of the deal was the 1% of the funds to do the refurb had to be specifically for an art installation of some type. This is what they decided to do! It is in the lobby of the Metropolis, check it out next time you are there.
