The Pearl Concert Theater- Las Vegas, NV – July 10, 2009

“Everyone likes a full house is Las Vegas!” Simon’s words after rocking the house with “Wild Boys,” and, “Don’t Stop the Rain,” were spot on. The house at The Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas was packed to the brim last night as Duran Duran took the stage. There was not a floor spot or balcony seat to be had! The guys played yet another amazing show and really enjoyed playing in the space.

The Pearl is a beautiful theater, only two years old. It is a fantastic space, small enough to give you that intimate performance feeling, but large enough to really feel the music through your bones. Closing out the show with their “Bond Medley,” everyone who made it out to the show hit the jackpot.

Maybe it was the silver sparkly curtains that were added to the backdrop, or maybe it was just that Vegas air, but the light show that has been with that band looked a bit more spectacular last night.

But why should what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas? We’re going to bring that spark to our last stop, the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, CA. Hope to see you there!
