In their only Danish performance in 2020, global hit-makers Duran Duran will return to Scandinavia to headline the iconic Jelling Musikfestival. On Saturday, the 30th of May, singer Simon Le Bon, bassist John Taylor, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and drummer Roger Taylor will perform on the main stage in front of an audience of 35,000 people.

With a rich and extremely influential four-decade career, Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records, had 18 American hit singles, 21 UK Top 20 tunes and consistently perform to huge concert audiences around the world. Their last album, 2015’s Paper Gods, was their highest-charting release in 22 years and was hailed by critics and fans alike as their best body of work in more than two decades. Produced by Grammy Award-winners Mark Ronson and Nile Rodgers, alongside Mr Hudson and Josh Blair, the record featured collaborations with Janelle Monáe, John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Kiesza and the Danish singer Jonas Bjerre from Mew.

First catapulted to success in the 1980’s, Duran Duran quickly became a household name around the world, fusing their infectious brand of music with art, technology, fashion and a signature sense of style. Proving themselves timeless, they have continued to always innovate and reinvent

Duran Duran are currently working on their follow-up to Paper Gods, which is set for release later this year.

”I’m extremely pleased that Duran Duran will play in Jelling this year. They have an amazing catalogue of songs and are one of most significant bands to come out of the UK in the last 40 years. Now playing better than ever, this will be their only show in Denmark in 2020,” says Lars ‘Charlie’ Mortensen from Jelling Musikfestival.

Jelling Musikfestival takes place on the 28th – 31st of May.
